When I moved further towards Kalasan... Part 3

30th January Wednesday Today out of the blue, I planned to devote my time by exploring the local market till the noon and in the evening I elected to go to see the stream with my cousins. The stream was at a distance of a kilometer, downhill. So I took a leave from home in the morning with my aunt, after having a nice refreshing herbal tea which was a mix of rose hip/rose hep, mint, green leaves and saffron. My aunt knows umpteen varieties of herbal teas and generally prepares by mixing two-three lusty herbs hence, making it healthy and luscious. The local market is a place called Churag which is 8 Kilometers away from Kalasan. It's a market where all the people living on the near adjacent villages come to shop for not only essentials but for some good amount of other stuff too. 29th January Tuesday After having a ball the first day,  it's my second day in Kalasan, waking up early the first day combined with a day trip to Seri and around I happened to celebrate a little more sack time today. Late Tuesday morning munificently followed by delayed breakfast of my fave grub, Broccoli tossed salad. For more details one can check: http://www.knfarm.in/ I planned to spend rest of my flagging left out day at home so I took up site seeing as an only option to amuse myself. I went up to see the orchard, the fruits and veggies of the season, unfortunately that's the time when apples don't flower as the right time is from May-August.  Also we don't get to see emerald lush green meadows but discarded dried-up lands because of the unfavorable

Sunday (27th January) On the Sunday evening I left from Shimla for Kalasan at around 1730 hours. Kalasan is a village which is approx 95 Kms away from Shimla and it takes nearly 3 hours to reach by car. Kalasan’s a small village with a population of around 450. It lies in the district Mandi with an elevation of 1600 ft above sea level, hence it’s graded under apple cultivation index and other seasonal cropping concurrently. I came here to visit my maternal uncle and his family (aunt and two children) after two years. The first time I visited them i.e. approx 10 years ago, was such an experience that I was overwhelmed with the surroundings and got carried away with the ethereal beauty of this rare location. Since that time I have been making short visitations to this place. It will be an inequitable and burdensome sketch of the place to describe Kalasan in my words as one needs to confront with its own eyes. This place is one of the best destinations from my favorites.
