Agra: Squeezing in a trip

It seems that March flied with a Supersonic Jet speed as I feel that this has turned out to be a bustling month, totally. Having relatives around means less of alone time at home and more of merry making moments and time spending with them. In this tied up schedule we chose to go out for a small outing to some nearby place so we zeroed in on Taj Mahal, Agra, being at a short distance and gaining its remarkable significance in the history as well as in the existing world for bagging a win in the list of “seven wonders” was worth a jaunt.

We left early morning from Delhi and on our way made a 60 minutes halt at Vrindavan to go over to the very famous Iskon Temple or Hare Ram Hare Krishna temple. Lord Krishna is the deity to whom the temple is dedicated. At Vrindavan the Iskon society also runs a boarding school on the lines of Gurukul wherein the students and teachers stay together and students learn things by observing their teachers. They also have a guest house in the temple premises so that one can easily stay in and take part in the activities of the temple. It’s fantastically build and is maintained well by the foreigners who have come here from all over the world to worship God, yeah you may think the same way Liz Gilbert from the movie EAT LOVE AND PRAY comes to India to find her spirituality. More than the architecture what fascinates me every time I come to this temple is the way the foreigners are dedicated to Lord Krishna. I mean seriously they have transformed themselves right from their garbs to their reformed appetite for Indian food and well with Indian food I literally mean the food with mere a taste like how the temple food is, really. The place is where they have really imitated themselves to impersonate as Indians and they look pretty enchanting in their “Dhotis” and “Sarees” hymning songs of Krishna in an absolute alluring way.
I really wish to be a part and spend some time in future for few days as a disciple.

Foreigners from all over the world chanting "Hare Ram Hare Krishna"

After reaching Agra without wasting much time we found ourselves in front of the white marble mausoleum TAJ MAHAL, marveling over the wonder Shah Jahan Built in 1600s. Taj Mahal needs no description and needs no acclamation as it’s the illustration of India’s rich heritage and competence and everyone’s acquainted, over the planet. It was my forth visit to Taj but I was as stunned with the charm as I was when I saw it for the first time. It’s rightly said the creation of beauty is called art. With the essence of Vrindavan and ethereal beauty of Taj I ended my journey.

Be it any time of the day there is never a dull moment at TAJ MAHAL we see unending crowd of people come to stand in awe.

Later!
